El arte es el alma de los pueblos, el artista es el prisma que sirve de reflexión. No tengo razón para pintar, pintar es mi razón de vivir. Y todo lo que en él descubro es mi responsabilidad darlo en beneficio a su sistema de pensamiento.
Art is the soul of peoples; the artist is the prism that serves for reflection. I have no reason to paint — painting is my reason for living. And everything I discover in it, it is my responsibility to give back for the good of its way of thinking.

Biography
Noel Morera Cruz is a multidisciplinary Cuban artist whose career is distinguished by an open, experimental practice spanning painting, drawing, printmaking, illustration, sculpture, goldsmithing, ceramics and stage design. He trained at the Academia de Bellas Artes San Alejandro in Havana, where he studied from 1973 to 1979, and complemented that training with studies in screen printing at the Taller René Portocarrero. He is a member of the Taller de Artes Gráficas de La Habana and of UNEAC.
Since arriving in Miami, Morera has continued to develop a body of work deeply tied to his Cuban experience and memory, without reducing his artistic language to a literal representation of Cuba. In 2026 his work was presented in Miami at a multidisciplinary gathering that included the unveiling of a new mural, paintings, sculptures and furniture, as well as a documentary project devoted to his career and creative process. He currently lives in North Miami.
